Every summer FiberScene reserves this space for recent MFA Graduates. This summer's artists are Allison Watkins (San Francisco State University), Alison Naschke-Messing (California College of the Arts), Robin Johnston (California College of the Arts), Lacey Jane Roberts (California College of the Arts) and Julia Karll (University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS). Surprisingly in this era of new technologies, these Graduates choose to work with traditional fiber materials and processes. But it’s their conceptually driven approach that makes it look fresh, while giving us a new perspective on contemporary Fiber Art. FiberScene is committed to showing the work of MFA Graduates in the field of Fiber Art. If you are planning to graduate in 2008, we encourage you to submit your work.
