Every summer FiberScene reserves this space for recent MFA Graduates. This summer's artists are Carrie Dickason (Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI); Anneliese Vobis (California College of the Arts, Oakland, California); Travis Meinolf (California College of the Arts, Oakland, CA); Michelle Hayworth (Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY); Molly Mitchell (California College of the Arts, Oakland, CA); Laura Kramer (California College of the Arts, Oakland, CA); Joan Dreyer (Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA); Rachel Hunt (Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI) currently the textile artist in resident at Arrowmont School of Arts and Craft. We are particularly pleased this year to have so many Graduate Schools represented. Carrie Dickason creates her own landscapes with materials scavenged from the waste of consumer culture.
FiberScene.com supports up and coming artists through its summer Graduate Show. If you are planning to graduate in 2009, we encourage you to submit your work. Contact us at mgblock@fiberscene.com. Congratulation Grads! |
