ARTIST STATEMENT
Worn, slept on, used to bandage and clean, textiles have been on intimate terms
with the human body forever. The history and non-preciousness of recycled domestic
cloth appeal to me. I work with it hoping to evoke a visceral response, provoke
unfocused yearning and somatic memory. All of my work is saturated in textile/costume
history in both visual reference and technique. |
